TERRAZZO CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

General Instructions

Agglotech terrazzo coverings are supplied already treated with a hydro-oil repellent impregnator that provides basic surface protection. To ensure the aesthetic and functional durability of the product, proper terrazzo maintenance is essential: it is therefore necessary to strictly follow the following instructions.

Agglotech terrazzo must NOT be treated with:

• Acidic products, which can corrode the surface
• Alcohol-based products, which can remove the protective impregnator

Initial cleaning after installation

Perform thorough washing with neutral detergents free from acids, to be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Protective treatment

• Once the initial cleaning is complete, it is necessary to apply a hydro-oil repellent treatment to the entire terrazzo surface, including grout joints.
• This intervention ensures complete and uniform protection of the coating.

Daily cleaning

• Regular cleaning should be performed with neutral detergents for natural stone, in accordance with the instructions provided by the manufacturers.
• N.B. Dirt must be removed regularly: correct daily maintenance helps preserve the appearance and performance of terrazzo over time.

In case of non-compliance, the product warranty expires.

The aesthetic finish of Agglotech terrazzo can be preserved over time through the use of specific professional products, such as those in the FILA line, which: do not alter the appearance of the material; do not create surface films; maintain the natural breathability of the surface.
