Terrazzo by Agglotech
Lausanne, Switzerland
The new Museo Belle Arti in Lausanne, inaugurated in 2019, represents the heart of the redevelopment of the area near the railway station. For this project, Agglotech developed a custom material in collaboration with the architecture studio Barozzi/Veiga, creating unique and functional solutions for the museum’s spaces.
CUSTOM - REG 3620
The Agglotech terrazzo, in the customized color REG 3620, was chosen to create a staircase of solid steps 5 cm thick in the museum, ideal for staircases and flooring of large and small dimensions. The robust and resistant surface · ensures long-term durability and effortless daily maintenance.
With a total surface area of over 20,000 square meters, the building stands in an area once occupied by nineteenth-century factories, transforming itself today into a point of cultural and architectural reference. Agglotech terrazzo contributes to enhancing the dialogue between historical memory and contemporary architecture, giving the museum a modern and functional image.
