VALENTINO STORE
Terrazzo by Agglotech
Shanghai, China
In the heart of the financial district of Shanghai, inside the shopping mall on Huai Hai Zhong Road, stands one of the most prestigious flagship stores of Valentino. The majestic two-story facade, completely clad in Agglotech terrazzo, extends over an area of more than 700 square meters, becoming an iconic architectural element of the project.
Created in collaboration with David Chipperfield Architects, the store expresses the stylistic vision of the Italian maison: a perfect combination of architectural rigor, material sophistication and attention to detail.
CUSTOM - REG 1712
For the Shanghai store, Agglotech provided the REG 1712 coloration, a personalized cement marble terrazzo designed exclusively for all Valentino stores worldwide. The finish, characterized by a gray cementitious base with white marble flakes of various sizes, reflects the sobriety and elegance inherent to the brand, ensuring at the same time aesthetic continuity and a visually refined impact.
Agglotech terrazzo was used not only for the facade but also for floors, internal walls and custom furniture elements, enhancing every detail of the space and making the architectural language of David Chipperfield recognizable in collaboration with Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Each Valentino boutique represents a unique project, but with a common material and chromatic thread: the Venetian-style Agglotech terrazzo, symbol of Italian craftsmanship, international design and timeless identity.
