VALENTINO STORE
Terrazzo by Agglotech
Beijing, China
The new Valentino store in Beijing represents a perfect synthesis between Italian craftsmanship and contemporary architecture. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects in collaboration with Pierpaolo Piccioli, the store translates into architectural form the distinctive values of the maison: elegance, innovation and attention to detail.
As in all the brand’s flagship stores, Agglotech Venetian-style terrazzo takes center stage in the Beijing location as well, is the protagonist of the spaces, becoming an identifying element of the Valentino architectural concept. The material best expresses the philosophy of made in Italy, with its combination of tradition, aesthetics and construction quality.
CUSTOM - REG 1712
For the Beijing boutique, Agglotech supplied the REG 1712 color, a custom marble cement terrazzo developed exclusively for Valentino. This finish is distinguished by a uniform grey cement base, enhanced with white marble flakes of various sizes that create a luminous and refined effect.
The elegant texture and neutral color tone of REG 1712 adapt perfectly to the sober and sophisticated aesthetics of the brand, providing visual continuity and material coherence between floors, walls and furnishings. The terrazzo slabs, derived from Agglotech marble and cement blocks, offer a compact and homogeneous surface, ideal for enhancing the minimalism of David Chipperfield’s design.
The result is an environment with contemporary charm, where natural materials and Italian craftsmanship blend to define an iconic, elegant and timeless space – a perfect expression of Valentino style.
