Terrazzo by Agglotech

In the heart of the Pudong district, Shanghai Times Square has undergone a complete transformation into a commercial space of over 50,000 square meters, hosting fashion boutiques, concept stores and restaurants. The architectural firm Nendo chose Agglotech’s Venetian-style terrazzo to cover sections of the flooring and internal walls, introducing a material that seamlessly blending Italian craftsmanship tradition and contemporary design.
SB 240 Torcello – SB 1000 Thassos
For this project, three different terrazzo colorations were selected, each with a precise aesthetic function:
SB 240 Torcello, with its white marble chips on a gray base, evokes the tradition of Venetian terrazzo reinterpreted in a modern key.
SB 1000 Thassos, crafted from fine micro-grains of marble from the Greek quarries of Thassos, brings luminosity and chromatic continuity to the spaces.
To complete the project, a custom-made orange terrazzo, designed exclusively for this installation, adds a warm and original flare, perfectly demonstrating Agglotech’s artistry and creative craftsmanship .
