THE POST BUILDING
Terrazzo by Agglotech

London, United Kingdom

In the heart of New Oxford Street in London, the Post Building stands as one of the city’s most prominent architectural redevelopment projects in the city. The former Royal Mail building, abandoned for more than twenty years, has been transformed into a modern multifunctional complex hosting offices, shops and restaurants.
For the flooring and selected part of the internal surfaces, the designers chose Agglotech’s Venetian-style terrazzo, created in two custom colorations to integrate perfectly with the urban chic character style of the new space.

REG 3534 - REG 3535

Agglotech developed two variants of marble cement terrazzo, the REG 3534 and REG 3535 colorations, defined by a neutral gray base and micro-chips of polychrome marble that give depth and movement to the surface. The first shade, lighter, stands out for its luminous and delicate effect, while the second, darker, imparts contrast and materiality to the spaces. The two finishes are brought together in a carefully calibrated geometric design, creating a dynamic and contemporary floor, perfectly coherent with the architectural identity of the complex.
Thanks to production in blocks and cutting into slabs, Agglotech terrazzo guarantees aesthetic uniformity, resistance to wear and easy maintenance, making it the ideal solution for high-traffic areas such as those in the Post Building.
The intervention testifies to Agglotech’s ability to combine aesthetics, functionality and sustainability, offering designers a versatile, natural and durable material, that aligns seamlessly with the urban regeneration philosophy guiding the entire London project.
