Technical and Anti-Slip Performance

The technical properties of Agglotech terrazzo are designed to guarantee safety, durability and compliance with the strictest European regulations. Each surface is classified according to the German standard BGR 181 and the DIN 51130 regulation, which define the degree of slip resistance based on the intended use.

Available Anti-Slip Classes – Finishes and Classification

Class

Slip inclination degree 6 – 10°

Ideal for halls, stairs, corridors and indoor floors for public use (schools, offices, shops, clinics and hotels)
Polished, impregnated and brushed surfaces

Slip inclination degree 11 – 19°

Suitable for toilets, changing rooms, laundries, self-service areas
Polished surfaces

Slip inclination degree 20 – 27°

Recommended for stairs and external pavements
Hammered and brushed surfaces

Slip inclination degree 28 – 35°

Specific for external floors and stairs on slopes or with high traffic
Hammered surface

Anti-Slip Systems for Stairs

Milled Grooves

Solutions incised directly on the stair surface. Only 2 mm deep, they are minimally invasive from an aesthetic point of view, impregnated to facilitate cleaning and particularly effective for high-traffic public environments.

PVC Strip

Economical and easily replaceable anti-slip element, ideal for high-traffic environments. Available in various colours, it also acts as a visual marking of the stair demarcation line, in compliance with accessibility regulations.

Steel Profile

Elegant and durable choice, ideal in prestigious architectural contexts. Requires no maintenance and integrates perfectly with existing parapets or metal details.

Carborundum Strip

Made by pouring a mixture of resin and carborundum into a 10×5 mm milling. Guarantees very high anti-slip coefficient without creating thickness, is customizable in colour and useful also as a visual reference.

Sanded Strip

Economical solution, made with surface sanding. Offers good anti-slip effect, but results difficult to keep clean over time, especially with light-coloured surfaces. Not recommended for high-traffic environments.
