HOTEL PLATZHIRSCH KUFSTEIN
Terrazzo by Agglotech
Kufstein, Austria
To breathe new life into the historic Hotel Platzhirsch Kufstein, located in the heart of the Tyrolean town, Gruppe Bodner created a refined residence with 15 rooms and suites, sensitively reinterpreting the original architectural characteristics of the building. The objective was to transport the historical soul of the structure into the present, without compromising its authenticity.
The hotel, housed in a building dating back to the 14th century, has undergone many transformations over the centuries: from inn to butcher shop, then cinema, nightclub, bank headquarters and finally commercial venue. In the 21st century, Gruppe Bodner, in collaboration with architect Johannes Wiesflecker, breathed new life into this symbol of Kufstein’s historic center, creating a uniquely designed space that combines the intimate charm of a boutique hotel with the understated luxury of a modern residence.
REG 3784
In the project, Agglotech’s Architectural Terrazzo REG 3784 plays a key role in defining the hotel’s unique and recognizable style. The gray tone, enriched with large flakes of white marble, harmonizes beautifully with the raw walls and natural wood furnishings, creating a subtle visual dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Beyond its aesthetic value, Agglotech terrazzo guarantees high resistance to wear and long durability, crucial for spaces that experience daily use. The outcome is a warm and refined atmosphere, in which matter, light and history coexist in perfect balance, making Hotel Platzhirsch Kufstein an emblematic example of contemporary restoration respectful of the past.
