HOCHSCHULE OSNABRÜCK
Terrazzo by Agglotech

Osnabrück, Germany

The new auditorium of Osnabrück University is a prime example of modern and dynamic architecture, where materials, shapes and colors interact in seamless harmony. The designers from CROSS Architecture and Benthem Crouwel GmbH studios designed a building with strong visual impact, where the lifted volumetry from the ground creates a wide, bright and welcoming entrance area.
Special attention was given to the chromatic combination: both externally and internally, a vibrant bright green contrasts with the sobriety of neutral tones, creating a balance between freshness and architectural rigor. In this context, Agglotech’s Venetian-style terrazzo fits in as a distinctive and refined element, capable of completing with elegance the designers’ vision.

SB 149 Fumo

For the flooring and stair cladding of the new auditorium, the SB 149 Fumo coloration was chosen, composed of micro marble flakes amalgamated in a gray cement base that guarantees a uniform and modern visual effect, ideal for high-traffic public spaces.
Beyond aesthetic elegance, Agglotech terrazzo offers high technical performance and remarkable wear resistance, essential characteristics for a space designed to welcome students and visitors daily. The continuous and compact surface of the material also contributes to creating a sense of order and cleanliness, accentuating the natural brightness of the spaces.
With the Osnabrück University project, Agglotech confirms its ability to collaborate with international architecture studios in the realization of buildings of great aesthetic and functional value, where Venetian-style terrazzo becomes protagonist of the contemporary language of public architecture.
