ARTISTIC HIGH SCHOOL G. SORAPERRA
Terrazzo by Agglotech

Pozza di Fassa, Trento

Located at 1,325 meters altitude, in the breathtaking scenery of the Trentino Dolomites, the new Artistic High School G. Soraperra represents an example of contemporary architecture perfectly integrated into the mountain landscape. Agglotech took part in the project by contributing to the creation of a completely customized Venetian-style terrazzo, capable of combining functionality, resistance, and chromatic harmony.
The result is a building that engages in a subtle dialogue with the surrounding landscape through the wise us e of materials and a palette of tones inspired by the territory.

CUSTOM - REG 1271

For the construction of the new artistic high school, Agglotech developed the REG 1271 color variant, a custom terrazzo created in collaboration with Sevis srl, a company that provided the precious Dolomite Stone sourced from local quarries. The Dolomite chips, characterized by nuances ranging from rosy to light grey, are immersed in a neutral cement base that gives the spaces a luminous, modern appearance consistent with the Alpine context.
The terrazzo has been used for flooring, stairs, and internal and external wall coverings, differentiating the finishes based on the function of the spaces. For external surfaces and steps, a textured finish was chosen, certified R11 anti-slip, which guarantees maximum safety and resistance to weather conditions. Indoors, instead, the polished finish enhances natural light and gives the spaces a sober and contemporary elegance.
Thanks to continuous material research and technological innovation, Agglotech was able to interpret the project requirements with custom terrazzo that combines Italian craftsmanship, durability, and sustainability. The Artistic High School G. Soraperra in Pozza di Fassa thus becomes a virtuous example of public architecture capable of valorizing the territory through design and materials.
