AM KNIE
Terrazzo by Agglotech
Munich, Germany
In the Am Knie district of Munich, Bavaria, Agglotech played a key role in the creation of the external cladding of an elegant office building by utilizing marble cement terrazzo installed with the Fischer ventilated facade system, a trusted company’s partner.
This project showcases a prime example of functional and sustainable architecture, where Venetian-style terrazzo is reinterpreted in a contemporary way to meet the needs of energy efficiency and durability.
SB 100 BIANCO
For the facade of the Am Knie building, the SB 100 Bianco coloration was selected, a luminous white characterized by a clear cement base and by medium-sized marble chips from the Carrara quarries. The bush-hammered surface provides a textured yet refined appearance, while ensuring resistance and adhesion to external climatic conditions.
Agglotech terrazzo, resin free and crafted without any chemical additives, guarantees stability and long-term durability, preserving the vibrancy of the color and refined elegance of its finish.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the ventilated facade technique offers significant advantages in terms of thermal insulation and environmental comfort, keeping the building cool in summer and more temperate in winter.
Through this project, Agglotech demonstrates its ability to combine tradition and innovation, proposing Venetian terrazzo as an architectural material of excellence also for contemporary external cladding.
